WWGA POLICIES
1. USGA requires all members to post scores played in an area observing an active season. These scores must be posted no later than the beginning of our season or within one week of a member’s return. Members will not be eligible for tournament prizes until scores are posted.
2. Cancellations must be made before 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. A member with three no shows or late cancellations unrelated to cart path only restriction, will not be eligible to play in the next WWGA tournament.
3. Membership checks will be non-refundable after the May 1st of that year.
4. Players are expected to post their scores. WWGA play will be posted by ProShop.
5. WWGA Championship A. To be eligible for prizes in the WWGA Championship, a member must have played in three current season WWGA tournaments. B. A current member of the WWGA may play in the two (2) day championship by signing up in Chelsea for the tournament and must have a handicap. The Champions will be determined by flights: by member's selection of playing at specific tee boxes: and handicaps. In order to have a competition within each flight, there must be a minimum of 2 players to play and complete 36 holes.

As indicated, a member may change tee boxes once a season. For the WWGA Championship, a member must change tee boxes at least 30 days prior to the start of the Championship. If a member changes within 30 days, they must play at the previous designated tee box. The member must notify the Treasurer and Pro Shop in writing ( email or letter) of the change.
6. To be eligible for the Most Improved Award, a player must have played in at least 50% of the WWGA tournaments that year.
7. Cell phones should be for emergency use only. Players must ensure that any electronic device taken on to the course does not distract other players.
8. Once a member gets a 27 course handicap, she has the right to elect to play from the Red, Red/Gold or Gold tees. A member may change tees once in a season. The member must notify the Treasurer and the Pro Shop in writing ( email or letter) of any change.
9. Ladies may switch between 9 and 18 holes no more than one time in a season.
10. All groups are to have the official score card signed and attested with the correct total. Failure to do so disqualifies the players involved.
11. All purchases of merchandise must go through the Pro-Shop. Each Golf Association has an obligation by contract to give right of first refusal to the Pro-shop. The price quote from any outside vendor must be verifiable. President of the purchasing association must approve the purchase. There will be a penalty of $500 assessed to the Golf Association by the Golf Committee and payable to the golf management company for failing to adhere to this rule.
12. Member/Guest Tournament – In order to invite a guest, you must be a current member of WWGA. Each foursome must have at least 1 member and no more than two members. Golf professionals are not eligible to play. An amateur ranked player may play. A Westlake golf member can be invited as a guest. A FULL refund of the Member/Guest fees will only be available if cancellation is made PRIOR to the Member/Guest registration deadline . In the event of cancellation AFTER the registration deadline but PRIOR to the final headcount being given to the Grille manager ( 5 days before the actual event) players will still receive their Member/Guest gifts but will only be eligible for a PARTIAL refund to cover the cost of food( breakfast and lunch). In lieu of partial food refund, players may arrange to get their food as take out. If a cancellation occurs AFTER the final count is given to the Grille manager, NO REFUND will be available. Players will still receive their Member/Guest gifts and may make arrangements to get their food as take out.
13. All active members of Westlake Golf Course can play in the Westlake Women’s Golf Association’s charitable event.
14. Only WWGA related information will be sent out using WWGA e-mail.
15. Hole-in-One prize procedure – Yearly Hole-in-One fund will be $100 to be divided among the winners. If there is no winner, the $100 will return to the general fund.
16. In the member/ member ( pick your own partner) event the partners must have a handicap within 10 strokes of each other.
